*Preliminary data
The average number of poultry birds (from 2016 to 2020): This data is based on the numbers of chickens and broilers reported by farms at the beginning of each month (agricultural subsidy form 461 ‘Sika- ja siipikarjatalouden tuki, luonnonhaittakorvauksen kotieläinkorotus ja luonnonmukaisen tuotannon korvaus’). The farm-specific average number has been calculated by calculating the sum of the number of poultry birds and dividing the sum by the number of months that the farm had poultry.
The average number of poultry birds (from 2021 onwards): The average number of birds on the farms during production. The number is the sum of average numbers of poultry birds reported by the farms. The data is based on a statistical survey, and the data collection mainly covered those farms that had 50 or more poultry birds.
From 2022 onwards, the number of laying hens in the Satakunta Ely Centre and country as a whole are not entirely comparable with data from previous years.
