The indicator measures changes in nitrate content in surface water. The examination focuses on surface water sampling points affected by agriculture. The sampling points have been classified according to the annual average of N-mg/l content in water samples. Quality classes:
Good: < 2 N-mg/l
Moderate: 2 - < 5.6 N-mg/l#Poor: > = 5.6 N-mg/l
