Information

A commercial fisherman may be a natural person (person or business) or a legal person (limited liability company, limited partnership or general partnership), engaged in fishing for commercial purposes.

Income class

Group 1 (turnover over 10,000 €/year)

1980-1994: at least 50 % of income from fishing.
1995-1996: at least 20 % of income from fishing.
1997-2015: at least 30 % of income from fishing.
2016-: The average turnover for fishing during the past three accounting periods over EUR 10,000.

Group 2 (turnover under 10,000 €/year)

All other registered commercial fishermen.
