The coverage of the statistics varies. Since 1995, the statistics have covered approximately 83-90% of the industrial roundwood trade in private forests.
Quantities are those reported in the data collection and the information is not rounded up to correspond to the total non-industrial private wood trade.
Felling season: 1.7-30.6.
The same average price for softwood logs has been recorded for pine and spruce logs for the felling years 1949/50-1977/78.
Until the felling season 1968/69, birch pulpwood consisted of birch log-wood.
During the felling seasons 1981/81 and 1981/82, average prices are weighted with the number of roundwood purchases, not the volumes purchased.
Prices of special roundwood assortments are not available and the volumes of these are not available by type of sale.
